It is extremely difficult to pick one focal point in this yard. Because of the large size of yard, different ‘zones’ were created throughout the yard. A freeform pool was used to give more of a ‘lagoon’ feel. Matching grey steps were used in the shallow end as well as the deep end to allow bathers very easy entry and exit from this pool. The shape of the pool is greatly enhanced by a ‘flat’ finish grey concrete border. The pool zone is completed by a beautiful stone waterfall where bathers can find themselves serenaded by the sound of running water. The pool is flanked by two stunning structures. The stone and wood structure in the shallow end was designed for the dining zone. A designated cover for the BBQ was created complete with granite counters on either side for food preparation. A stone fireplace was built where food such as pizza can be cooked in or for just a warm place to snuggle up in front of in the evenings. The structure in the deep end was designed as the lounge zone. A pool cabana was constructed to house the pool equipment and an attached shade structure was added for those sunny, hot summer days that call for some relaxation in the shade.
